Willa explains how Winter is the time to focus on producing the next generation of horses and planning ahead.

Winter Shows –

Oxstone’s Lavano Valentino has already been to his first show and is looking forward to a three day show at the end of this month at Aintree Equestrian Centre, along with Caja 20, Fadeline and Jane Heerbeck’s Juncus Z. It’s great to be able to keep our eye in over the winter and get to some bigger shows.

We have two very exciting 4 year olds who have already started their winter training. Quality Time who went to Burghley will also get to some bigger shows to gain experience so he is ready to begin his eventing career in 2020. He is also for sale, or we would love to find an owner who can enjoy the fun with him next year.

We also have a new recruit Last Hope, a 4 year old dark brown gelding by Esteban – a very blood horse who was purchased from Dirk Schrade in September. He enjoyed an early break and is now back working again and ready for some Winter shows. He has a lot of quality and we are excited to see what’s in store for him next year.

A Break for –

Moonlight Dance S, Rebellious, Cock A Doodle Doo, Cipriani and Just Soda No Ice have all been enjoying a winter break but will all start their fitness and strengthening work ahead of Christmas and then more specific training in the new year.

New Year..New Recruits –

With more new recruits on the horizon, 2020 looks to be an exciting year for Team Newton. But, until then, it will be hard work and lots of training so we hit the new year running.
